Vendor Management

Besides providing physical and mental health care, a key component of correctional care is working with specialty outside vendors to provide particular services.

At MEnD, our goal is to provide as many of these services as possible, but there are some things which we do need to partner with outside groups on, whether that’s the local clinic, a vendor of your choosing or one of our trusted partners.

Vendors

Outside vendors we work with will vary depending on the needs of your inmate population. From pharmaceutical to laboratory services like x-rays and radiology to specialist providers like dentists, orthopedists and obstetricians should the need arise, we manage every relationship which might be necessary to ensure the jail population is healthy and stable.

Transition

When your facility transitions from the previous correctional care provider or jail-provided care to MEnD, we work together with you to choose vendors which will benefit you and your population the most. If you have a favorite local vendor you’d like to use, we will accommodate that request within reason if we aren’t already using them.

If you don’t have a vendor for a particular need which may arise, we have a number of trusted vendors we currently work with which we can recommend.

Contract Negotiation

Taxpayer money is not to be trifled with. Our goal is always to provide the best possible care to inmates with the least disruption to correctional services at the lowest possible cost to taxpayers.

When choosing vendors to work with, our team negotiates hard to provide contracts which are beneficial to your department and county. Whenever possible, we will use your preferred local vendors to fulfill contracts, and work to do so at the lowest cost.
